Antonio Álvarez

An elegant central defender, nicknamed “El Mariscal”, Antonio Álvarez was a historic Sevilla player during the 1980s. In 13 seasons with Blanquirrojos, he played 370 games and received the IX Legend Dorsal, the most important award for a former Sevilla player. He also played for Málaga and Granada before announcing his retirement at the age of 40. He was unable to make his debut with Spain due to an injury during the pre-match of the national team.
